A tribal woman in Maharashtra's Thane district, who received national bravery award for children, returned the honour on Wednesday because her family could not get ration at Public Distribution System (PDS) shops. Hali Raghunath Baraf, now in her 20s, received the "Veer Bapuji Gandhani Rashtriya Balveer Award'' in 2013 for saving her sister from a leopard. She told PTI that her family still can not get food grains at PDS shops because their names and other details have not been entered into the online system. Some 400 tribal families in Shahpur tehsil face the same situation, she added.More Related News
