Apply online for Kerala Plus One higher secondary admission from May 14, with increased seats for 2025-26 academic year.
Applications for Plus One higher secondary admission can be submitted online from May 14, Kerala’s Minister for General Education V. Sivankutty has said.
At a press conference here on Tuesday, the Minister said the last date for submitting applications would be May 20. Trial allotment will be held on May 24. The first allotment will be published on June 2, second allotment on June 10, and the third allotment on June 16.
After admissions to a majority of the seats through these three allotments in the main phase, Plus One classes for the 2025-26 academic year will get under way on June 18. Last year, the classes had begun on June 24.
After the main phase of allotment, applications will be invited afresh for supplementary allotment to fill the remaining seats. The Plus One admission procedures would be completed by July 23, the Minister said.
He said the government was allowing a marginal seat increase at the start of the Plus One admission procedure to ensure admission to all students who qualify for higher secondary education.
A marginal seat increase of 30% in all government schools in Thiruvananthapuram, Palakkad, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts and a 20% increase in aided schools in these districts would be allowed, Besides this, a 10% seat increase will be given to aided schools that raise this demand.
A 20% marginal seat increase would be given to government and aided higher secondary schools in Kollam, Ernakulam, and Thrissur districts, as also in government and aided higher secondary schools in Ambalappuzha and Cherthala taluks of Alappuzha district.
