Kerala man who came to Poland with pregnant wife wishes to name his child after Operation Ganga

Abhijith also said that he did not have to spend even a penny on his way to the Poland border.

A Kerala man, Abhijith, who was a restaurant owner in Kyiv, Ukraine, wants to name his children after "Operation Ganga". His pregnant wife was also with him in Ukraine when Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered an invasion. Having made it safely to the Poland border from Kyiv, Abhijith's wife is now admitted to a hospital in Poland.

His wife is nine months pregnant and they have a due date set for March 26. He wants to bestow such a name on his child because he wants to thank the effort of the Indian government that brought them safely to Poland.

Abhijith also said that he did not have to spend even a penny on his way to the Poland border. India's "Operation Ganga" is aimed at bringing all Indians who got stuck in Ukraine during the Russian invasion.

So far, two students from India lost their lives in the attacks while one is in critical condition.

Abhijith will be returning to Kerala while his wife stays in Poland for pregnancy-related treatment and rest.

The Ukrainian government claimed on Thursday that 28 children had died so far since Russia invaded the country on February 24.
