KBC 14 Episode 30 Written Update: Big B reveals why his dad Harivansh Rai named their bungalow Pratiksha

In the September 16 episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 14, contestant Prakyath Shetty took to the hot seat. During the episode, host Amitabh Bachchan revealed why his father named their house Pratiksha.

In the September 16 episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 14, Amitabh Bachchan introduced this Friday’s play-along contestants. After that, he began with the fastest finger first round which was won by Prakyath Shetty. He became the first play-along contestant to sit on the hot seat with Amitabh Bachchan. Prakyath is a senior associate in a multinational company. During the episode, Big B talked about his bungalow Pratiksha.

When the episode started, Amitabh Bachchan introduced the contestant's sister whose name was Pratiksha. Big B said, “Pratiksha is a very beautiful name, even my father named our house Pratiksha.” The Bollywood superstar further said, “People ask me why did you name your house Pratiksha, but I tell them that I did not choose it, my father did. Once I questioned my father why did you keep the name Pratiksha. He said that he has a poem where there is a line that says 'swagat sabke liye hain par nahi hain kisi ke liye Pratiksha'.” Amitabh Bachchan's father Harivansh Rai Bachchan was a famous poet.

KBC 14 premiered on Sunday, August 7. The first episode witnessed Big B welcoming eminent celebrities, who took over the hotseat and played the game. Those who graced the show as special guests included Aamir Khan, sports icons like Mary Kom and Sunil Chhetri, along with India's first Blade Runner, Major DP Singh, and Mithali Madhumita, the first female officer to win the Gallantry Award.
