A local tiffin-stall owner in Karnataka welcomed a woman and her friends into her home and prepared a fresh meal when every restaurant around had shut for the night in a now-viral video.
The heartwarming moment was posted in a now-viral Instagram video by Prerna Singhal, who wrote in the caption: “One of the best local experiences I have had in a while. Jai Hanuman Tiffin Center, Hampi.”
The video showed her unexpected encounter in Hampi, where the woman and her friendss were wandering the streets around 10 pm searching for dinner but found all eateries closed.
She explained in her clip how a woman who ran a small local eatery named Jai Hanuman Tiffin Center noticed them and invited them to her house, offering to cook fresh dosas despite the late hour. The visitors soon realised they had met her a few days earlier at her breakfast tiffin stall, making the gesture feel even more personal.
The visuals showed the host smiling as she welcomed the guests, while her husband and other family members helped with preparations in the background. The group was seated in the veranda as coconut chutney, masala dosa, and turmeric-ginger pickle were prepared from scratch.
Singhal described the meal as one of the best dosas she had eaten in a long time, emphasising the comfort of receiving freshly cooked home food when hungry late at night.
