A man was spotted collecting uneaten food from a pile of trash to feed stray cows and dogs in Delhi. His simple act received a whole lot of love and praise from social media users.
A man was seen collecting uneaten food from a pile of discarded plates and cups, carefully setting aside portions that were still edible so he could later feed stray cows, dogs, and other animals roaming the streets.
The video capturing the gesture was shared by the official Instagram page of North Campus Boys, accompanied by the caption: “Food is precious, don’t treat it like trash.” After being posted, the clip directed users' attention to both food wastage and the plight of stray animals in urban areas.
In the clip, the man is seen scanning through a heap of thrown-away plates, pausing whenever he spots leftover food that has not yet been contaminated. He gently lifts the usable portions, gathering them separately with visible care and intention.
The video suggests that the collected food is later distributed among stray cows and dogs nearby, turning what would have been waste into sustenance.
Additional posts from the same account identified the man as Ashutosh, a civil services aspirant currently preparing for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examinations. According to the page, he devoted part of his free time to feeding stray animals, which was an everyday routine that viewers stated showed his humility and empathy rather than a one-time act for attention.
