Police have arrested a man from Kanpur for trafficking women to Gulf nations.
Police have rescued a woman, who was trafficked to Oman by a Kanpur man, with the help of the embassy and Ministry of External Affairs, and arrested the accused.
The accused, Wasim, had sent the woman to Oman in January last year, where she was sexually exploited.
Police said Wasim had sent the woman on the pretext of getting her a decent job. He first offered her a job at a seer’s residence and later sent her abroad.
