Bollywood actor Jacqueline Fernandez has been summoned again in connection with the Rs 200-crore extortion case.
Bollywood actor Jacqueline Fernandez has been summoned again by the Delhi Police in connection with an extortion case linked to conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar. Jacqueline Fernandez has been asked to appear before the Economic Offenses Wing at 11:00 am on Monday.
Actor Jacqueline Fernandez had joined the probe on Wednesday after being issued a third summons and was questioned for nearly eight hours in the extortion case. She was accompanied by Pinky Irani, who was tasked to introduce Jacqueline Fernandez to the conman and was allegedly paid in crores of rupees for the job.
During the first round of questioning, the Delhi Police found inconsistencies in their responses. Jacqueline Fernandez has now been asked to appear before the EOW on Monday.
Jacqueline Fernandez, who has been named as accused by the Enforcement Directorate in the money laundering case, is under scrutiny by Delhi Police to establish whether she had been a part of the extortion racket carried out by conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar.
Sukesh Chandrasekhar, who is accused in nearly 30 cases by different investigative agencies, is accused of extorting a businessman’s wife while he was lodged in jail.
