Apple reportedly plans to launch the iPhone 17e on February 19. This would be likely the cheapest iPhone in the current series and compared to previous iPhone 16e it may not see any major design changes.
Speculations about the iPhone 17e are doing the rounds of the internet for quite a while. Now, fresh reports have hinted at the possible launch date of the next Apple phone, suggesting that it may launch on February 19. When it launches, the iPhone 17e is certain to be the most affordable of the current iPhones.
Not much has filtered out so far in terms of specs and features of the iPhone 17e. But the rumours so far suggest that it is expected to retain much of the design of its predecessor, that is the iPhone 16e. Although, one new feature this time could be addition of the MagSafe charging.
Recently, Macwelt, a German publication, hinted at the launch date of the iPhone 17e. The report says Apple plans to announce the iPhone 17e on February 19, which is Thursday. If the report turns out to be accurate, then the iPhone 17e launch would be exactly one year after the iPhone 16e was rolled out. This would be in line with the rumours that we have been hearing for months, which have indicated that Apple would launch the iPhone 17e in the first quarter of 2026.
As far as specs and features of the iPhone 17e are concerned, you can expect it to have some key internal upgrades. The design, however, is unlikely to change. Unlike previous rumours that hinted that the 17e will get Dynamic Island on its display, the latest buzz is that the front of the phone will remain similar to how it is on the iPhone 16e.
But internally there will be changes. One key upgrade could be the MagSafe technology, with ability to charge at a faster 25W charging. The current iPhone 16e uses slower charging standard Qi1, with charging power up to 7.5 watts.
It is also expected that the iPhone 17e will continue to be equipped with a single camera on the back like iPhone 16e.

Samsung has been teasing its upcoming A-series devices since last week, without officially revealing their names.
