Indian Railways to run 179 special trains till Chhath Puja to manage festive rush| Details

Diwali-Chhath Puja 2022 special trains: Indian Railways announced 2,269 trips of 179 pairs of special trains till Chhath Puja this year to cater to the festive rush and to ensure convenience for passengers. Check all the details here.

To cater to the extra rush during the upcoming festive season and also to ensure convenience for passengers, Indian Railways announced 2,269 trips of 179 pairs of special trains till Chhath Puja this year. These special services, which will operate on major routes across the country, will ensure comfortable and quick travel for passengers.

The Ministry of Railways also took to Twitter to announce the move and wrote, "Easing festive travel for passengers! To ensure convenience of the travellers and clear extra rush, Railways is running 2,269 trips of 179 special trains (in pairs) till Chhath Puja. Special trains have been planned to connect major destinations across the country. (sic)

Special trains have been planned to connect major destinations across the country, like Delhi- Patna, Delhi- Bhagalpur, Delhi-Muzaffarpur, Delhi-Saharsa.

According to the press release, additional RPF personnel will be deployed at major stations to ensure the security of passengers. 'May I help you booth' will also be installed at important stations to provide assistance and guidance to passengers.

Furthermore, measures have been taken for timely announcements regarding the arrival and departure of trains.

The 2022 festive season that started with Ganesh Chaturthi on August 31, continuing with Navratri and Durga Puja will conclude with Chhath Puja, which is scheduled on October 30.
