India has successfully phased out the production and consumption of several major ozone depleting substances, Union Minister of State for Environment Ashwini Choubey said on September 16.
Chairing an event on the 27th Global Ozone Day, he also said that the country met all obligations of the Montreal Protocol by accessing technical and financial assistance from the mechanism of the Protocol.
The theme of World Ozone Day 2021 is 'Montreal Protocol- Keeping us, our food and vaccines cool'.

A team of agricultural scientists and students from Iowa State University, U.S., visited the expansive farmlands of Kollengode earlier this week. The 14-member delegation, led by Ajay Nair, professor of agriculture, and Catherine Suboda, associate professor, studied various farming practices being followed in and around the region.
