Hyundai has revealed the new Alcazar which is essentially the seven or six seat version of the Hyundai Creta. We tell you all about the new SUV from Hyundai.
Hyundai recently announced that the company has now become the biggest SUV maker in the country and that is all thanks to the Hyundai Venue, Hyundai Creta and also the Hyundai Tucson and Santa Fe. Adding to its accolade was the all electric Hyundai Kona EV. That said, the company should be rather happy and resting on its laurels! But that is not the case as Hyundai has just announced the Hyundai Alcazar, the six/seven-seat SUV which slot above the Creta but below the Tucson. Hyundai invited us to take a closer look at a prototype and hence the SUV you see here are all camouflaged. There was a short drive too but let’s leave that for another time when we spend some genuine time behind the wheel. The Alcazar is not exactly a brand-new SUV but based on the Creta. Hence it comes with the same front end design. The two-tier lighting console seen on the Creta can be seen on the Alcazar as well. The grille too is essentially the same. The Alcazar will also come with cornering lights. In profile, the changes are all the more glaring thanks to the longer wheelbase. The Alcazar sports a 2,760mm wheelbase as compared to the Creta which offers 2,610mm. It is also obvious here that the Alcazar has a generous rear overhang and this is to free up enough space for the third row of seats. The Alcazar also gets 18in alloys, shark fin antenna and even chrome door handles. The tail light design looks good and the Alcazar lettering on the boot makes the all-important announcement too. Look carefully and you will be able to spot the one into two exhaust tip.
