The bike comes with a BS6 complaint 97.2cc engine which is tuned to produce 7.9bhp@8,000rpm and 8Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheels using a 4-speed gearbox. Hero claims an efficiency of 83kmpl and combined with a fuel tank capacity of 9.6 litres, the HF Deluxe provides a range of nearly 797km. The HF Deluxe also comes with features like Hero’s i3s which is essentially a start stop system. The system switches off the engine at signals and restarts it as soon as the clutch is depressed. Interesting and by personal experience we can tell you that the system works well and is quick to start up the bike. The HF Deluxe also comes with comfortable 805mm seat height and at a light 109kg, the bike is comfortable to ride even for first time riders. The bike offers a good mid range and this means it is perfectly tuned for cities. When it comes to looks, the HF Deluxe impresses with smart colours and a fairing too. The instrument panel offers an analogue speedo and fuel guage apart from telltale lights. The bike is available in kick start and electric start variants as well. Alloy wheels though remain standard. The Hero HF Deluxe kick start version is priced at Rs 51,700 ex-showroom.
