Haryana schools are set to reopen for Classes 10 to 12 from February 1 as per Education Minister Kanwar Pal.
Haryana schools are set to reopen for Classes 10 to 12 from February 1, said Haryana Education Minister Kanwar Pal on Tuesday. Earlier this month, all physical classes had been suspended because of the rise in Covid-19 cases in the state with the declaration of winter holidays from January 3 to 12.
"The Haryana government has decided to open schools for 10th, 11th and 12th classes from February 1," Kanwar Pal said in a tweet.
For other classes, a decision on when physical classes will resume will be taken later
However, even when schools reopen, online classes will continue as before alongside the physical classes.
Covid-related safety norms will be strictly followed once schools reopen for physical classes.
Certain private schools and many people in the rural areas have been calling for schools to reopen.
Pal said that 75 percent of the students falling in the 15-18 years category had received the first dose of the vaccine against Covid in the state.
