
GVMC’s to hold final council meet on February 28

GVMC's final council meeting scheduled for February 28 will address key civic issues and proposals before the council's term ends.
The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) will hold its final council meeting on February 28, at 11 a.m. The five-year term of the present council, which was constituted in March 2021, will end on March 17, 2026.
GVMC officials have prepared a 37-point main agenda, which mostly includes service -renewal proposals, extension of street light maintenance, several engineering department related proposals and more. Introduction of a supplementary table agenda is expected during the meeting.
According to the corporators, since this will be the last meeting of the current council, a dedicated Zero-Hour session is likely to be held to provide sufficient time for corporators to raise important civic issues and also place their views.

Hundreds of unemployed youth, including college students, participated in the job fair organised by the Shivamogga district administration and Zilla Panchayat on Friday. The administration invited over 30 companies that offered job opportunities to youth, including those who had failed in SSLC and PUC.

The Department of Clinical Psychology at the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH) organised a national seminar and Continuing Rehabilitation Education (CRE) event on “Current trends and emerging challenges in the assessment and management of specific learning disability (SLD)” here recently. The two-day event brought together leading professionals, academicians, and researchers.
