Gurugram: Cops recover hand grenades and detonators from unoccupied house in Sector 31

Gurugram Police recovered half a dozen of hand grenades and detonators from an unoccupied house in Sector 31 on Tuesday morning. The police have barricaded the building and diverted all vehicles from the area and have stopped the movement.
The Gurugram Police launched a search operation on Tuesday morning following information that illegal arms and ammunition were hidden in an unoccupied building near a CNG petrol pump in sector 31.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (crime) Rajiv Deswal reached the spot and a search operation was started. The local bomb squad also arrived at the spot.
Apart from this, the dog squad is also present on the spot. The police swung into action on receiving the information that hand grenades and detonators were hidden in the house where no one resided.
The police have barricaded the building, diverted all vehicles from the area and stopped the movement of passersby as well.
Police officials refused to divulge details when contacted them.
They said a search operation is underway.
The house is just metres away from a CNG pump whose three employees were hacked to death using sharp weapons in the early hours of Monday.
