
'Gains of 20 years can't be turned back': WHO concerned over healthcare situation in Afghanistan

The World Health Organisation said it is concerned about access to critical healthcare facilities in Afghanistan. In a statement, WHO said the country now needs support and solidarity more than ever or else the gains of the past 20 years will be reversed.
The World Health Organisation has expressed concerns about access to critical healthcare services in war-torn Afghanistan. “The people of Afghanistan need support and solidarity today more than ever. The gains of the past 20 years cannot be turned back,” a WHO statement said. The world body has said that it is committed to staying in Afghanistan and delivering critical health services and calls on all parties to respect and protect civilians, health workers, patients and health facilities.More Related News
