It was a star-studded affair as many celebs arrived at the wedding venue, which was Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi's farmhouse in Khandala. According to reports, Farhan's dad, Javed Akhtar performed a special poem for the couple at the wedding.

According to reports, proud daddy and popular lyricist Javed Akhtar recited a sweet poem that he wrote for the happy couple.

For the unaware, Dil Chahta Hai is Farhan's first directorial venture which starred Aamir Khan, Akshaye Khanna and Saif Ali Khan in the lead.

Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar made their entry to the wedding venue to Sooraj Ki Baahon Mein from Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara! Isn’t that how perfect weddings look like? Gallan Goodiyaan from Farhan Akhtar's film Dil Dhadakne Do was also heard playing at the venue. The couple even sang for each other. While Shibani performed on John Legend's All Of Me, Farhan beautifully sang Rock On's song Tum Ho Toh. Peter Andre's Mysterious Girl and Senorita were also played at the wedding.

The couple exchanged vows, instead of a traditional Marathi wedding ceremony or a nikah. The couple zeroed in on this decision, keeping each other's religious backgrounds and beliefs in mind. Their wedding guest list included Meiyang Chang, Gaurav Kapoor, Samir Kochar, Monica Dogra, Ritesh Sidwani, Rhea Chakraborty and Hrithik Roshan.
