
Ex-IRS officer Arunraj joins Tamilga Vettri Kazhagam, gets party post

Former IRS officer Arunraj appointed as TVK's propaganda and policy general secretary, joined by prominent political figures.
Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president Vijay, on Monday (June 9, 2025) appointed former Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer K.G. Arunraj, who took voluntary retirement recently, as the party’s general secretary of propaganda and policy.
Arunraj, a doctor-turned-civil servant had served in the Income Tax department in Tamil Nadu, Bihar and Maharashtra.
A press release said former AIADMK MLA R. Rajalakshmi and former DMK MLA David Selvan also joined the TVK.
Others who joined the party include A. Sridharan, founder of Dravida Murpokku Makkal Katchi and AIADMK ex-MLA; and N. Marie Wilson, managing director, Jeppiaar Institute of Technology; and C Subash, a former judge.
