A video of Ekta Kapoor being kidnapped by two gunmen was recently shared by a paparazzo on social media. While many speculated it was a promotional stunt for her show Lock Upp, Ekta has now revealed that it was for Apharan Season 2.

What are naagins or random kidnappings? Anything is possible in the world of Ekta Kapoor. Recently, the TV Czarina pulled off a shocking stunt where she was seen getting kidnapped by two masked men at gunpoint. As Ekta screamed for her life, the paparazzi clicked her. When this video went viral on social media, many fans hilariously pointed out how it was her show, Lock Upp's promotion. However, Ekta Kapoor has now announced Apharan Season 2, hence, the kidnapping was a promotional stunt for this Voot show.

After the kidnapping stunt, Ekta Kapoor has now revealed that the web series, Apharan, is coming out with its second season. The teaser of the show will be released tomorrow, February 24. Sharing a video where she is announcing the same, Ekta Kapoor wrote, "It was fun to give you a taste of my Apharan! Get set to watch the teaser of the all-new season of #Apharan2 on 24th Feb at 12pm! #SabkaKategaDobara @VootSelect #Apharan2OnVoot (sic)." In the video, Ekta is seen inside a vanity van.

A viral video recently emerged on social media where Ekta was seen smiling and walking towards her car as shutterbugs clicked her. Soon, two masked men emerged who flashed their guns at Ekta and forced her to get inside the vehicle. The men were seen shouting ‘chal andar baith (go, sit inside)’ as Ekta screamed. The men also asked the paparazzi to shut their cameras and disperse the crowd.
