Watch the thrilling trailer for 'Dune: Part Three,' showcasing epic battles and Paul Atreides' struggle with power and resistance.
The first full trailer for Dune: Part Three has been released, offering an expansive look at the final chapter of Denis Villeneuve’s sci-fi saga and signaling a shift toward a darker, more intense narrative.
The footage opens with an intimate moment between Timothée Chalamet’s Paul Atreides and Zendaya’s Chani, hinting at their unborn children. The exchange suggests a passage of time and a fragile reconciliation following the events of Dune: Part Two.
The trailer quickly expands in scale, showcasing large-scale battles, interstellar warfare and rising opposition to Paul’s rule as Emperor. In a voiceover, Paul reflects on the consequences of his actions: “War feeds on itself. The more I fight … the more our enemies fight back.”
The film, inspired by Frank Herbert’s Dune Messiah, explores the aftermath of Paul’s rise to power and the growing resistance against him. Rebecca Ferguson returns as Lady Jessica, challenging Paul’s choices. “Your father never started a war,” she tells him.
New footage also introduces Robert Pattinson as Scytale, a mysterious antagonist whose role appears tied to the political unrest threatening Paul’s empire. Returning cast members include Florence Pugh, Javier Bardem and Jason Momoa, whose character Duncan Idaho reappears in a transformed capacity.
Villeneuve has described the film as more action-driven and tense than its predecessors, focusing on the burden of power and the cycle of violence Paul is unable to escape. The story is set years after the previous installment, reflecting a changed world and a more hardened protagonist.
