Mumbai suburbs experienced drizzle, possibly linked to a western disturbance, according to an IMD official's report.
Some parts of Mumbai, especially the suburbs, experienced drizzle on Thursday (April 2, 2026), which an official said may have been caused by a western disturbance.
None of the observatories in the city recorded any rainfall activity, India Meteorological Department scientist Sushma Nair said.
"The drizzle could be due to a western disturbance," she said.
The sky was partly cloudy in the evening.
The IMD had issued a weather alert to all districts in the State for Thursday (April 2) other than Mumbai, Palghar, Sindhudurg and Kolhapur. It had issued a yellow alert with forecast of thunderstorm for neighbouring Thane and Raigad districts.
