90-year-old Nelluri Seshagiriamma seeks Jagan's help, alleging illegal land-grab during Amaravati's land pooling process without fair compensation.
YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday assured full support and justice to a 90-year-old woman who alleged that her land was illegally taken during the land pooling process for the Amaravati capital region.
The elderly woman, Nelluri Seshagiriamma, a resident of Rayapudi village in Thullur mandal of Guntur district, met the former Chief Minister at the YSRCP office at Tadepalli. She broke down while narrating her ordeal, claiming that her land had been taken under the pretext of land pooling, but she was neither fairly compensated nor provided with the promised benefits.
Ms. Seshagiriamma alleged that officials of the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) had misled her with assurances of compensation that were never fulfilled. Despite making repeated appeals to the revenue authorities and the CRDA officials over the years, she said her pleas for justice went unheard.
Responding to her grievance, Mr. Jagan expressed concern over the issue and assured the elderly woman that the YSRCP would stand firmly by her side. He reiterated that the party would pursue the matter and ensure that justice was delivered.
Family members of the complainant, Brahmendra Kumar and Srinivas, were present.
