Delhi schools reopen: Schools and colleges in Delhi to reopen for physical classes from Monday, i.e., February 7, 2022. However, schools would only reopen for classes 9 to 12.
Delhi schools reopen: After witnessing a dip in the cases of the Covid-19 virus, schools, colleges and coaching institutes in Delhi reopen for physical classes from Monday, i.e., February 7, 2022. The decision has been taken by the Delhi government today.
As per the decision, students from classes 9 to 12 can attend physical classes from February 7, 2022. And students of primary classes will continue their physical classes from February 14, 2022.
"Delhi government has decided to welcome children back to schools and colleges now. All schools (class 9 onwards), colleges, institutes, universities, and coaching reopen from 7 February. Nursery to class 8 from 14 February. Higher education to be completely in physical mode," Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia tweeted.

The recommendation for the reopening of schools in Delhi was given by the Delhi government during the meeting of DDMA held on January 27, 2022.
On this, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia also put forward concern about the reopening of schools and colleges, saying that students have already suffered a lot in the past two years.
"The pandemic-induced school closures have not only affected their studies but also their mental health. During Covid-19, our priority was children's safety," Sisodia said.
