The DCP Outer district conducted a special drive after observing a rise in the reports of missing children in the area.

The Delhi Police successfully reunited six children with their families after conducting a special drive to recover them. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of Outer district formed special teams in each police station to trace missing children in the area.

Following the DCP’s directions, patrolling vehicles equipped with megaphones were installed in every police station. Announcements were made on every street and officials were asked to obtain clues about the missing children. Details of the missing children were circulated among all the nearby police stations and adjoining districts.

Police were deployed to check CCTV footage so that any clues could be obtained regarding the missing children. All necessary documents on the missing children were obtained from the State Crime Record Bureau (SCRB), National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), Doordarshan and newspapers and the information was uploaded to the Zonal Integrated Police Network (ZIPNET) website.

WhatsApp messages were also circulated in the police station groups of Outer district. Door to door enquiries were made in relevant areas and six children were traced by the police’s efforts. The age of the six children ranged from 3 to 17 years.
