As the calls for another probe into the origins of Covid-19 in China gain momentum, Beijing demanded the WHO should inspect Fort Detrick, a military base in the US, instead.
As the calls for a second round of investigation into the origins of the coronavirus in China gain momentum, Beijing sharpened its attack on the United States and demanded the World Health Organization (WHO) to inspect a military base in the US instead. If labs are to be investigated, then the WHO experts should go to Fort Detrick. The US should act transparently & responsibly as soon as possible and invite WHO experts for an inquiry into the Fort Detrick lab. Only in this way can truth be revealed to the world. "If labs are to be investigated, then the WHO experts should go to Fort Detrick," said Zhao Lijian, spokesperson of China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The IRGC claimed it had "successfully targeted" the US aircraft, though it did not immediately provide details on the location, extent of damage or the fate of the pilot. There has been no immediate confirmation from the United States military, which has previously disputed similar claims by Iran during the conflict.
