A viral video from Mumbai is flipping the script on what a “good salary” looks like and it’s coming from the driver’s seat of an auto.
Shared by Instagram user Utkarsh Verma, the clip features a candid conversation with a local auto driver who claims to earn around Rs 75,000 a month. According to the driver, his average daily income stands at roughly Rs 2,500 even after accounting for fuel and other expenses.
The video begins with Verma discussing the high cost of living in Mumbai, to which the driver responds with a striking perspective: while the city is expensive, it is also full of earning opportunities. “Yahan paisa itna hai, barsata hai,” he says, suggesting that money flows abundantly for those who know where to look.
Verma goes on to calculate the driver’s monthly income based on these daily earnings, arriving at a figure that rivals entry-level corporate salaries. He points out that many fresh graduates start their careers earning significantly less, raising questions about how different professions are valued.
He also highlights the non-monetary aspects of the job, noting that driving an auto allows for daily human interaction and potential networking, unlike the routine of “sitting in a cubicle.”

The IRGC claimed it had "successfully targeted" the US aircraft, though it did not immediately provide details on the location, extent of damage or the fate of the pilot. There has been no immediate confirmation from the United States military, which has previously disputed similar claims by Iran during the conflict.

Continuing on their string of victories in special elections since 2024, Democrats flipped the long-held Republican 87th House District in the Florida State House on Tuesday. The win, which comes ahead of the critical midterms in November, also hands Democrats a seat that is home to President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate.
