
Congress leaders hold discussion with party functionaries in Puducherry

Congress leaders in Puducherry strategize for 2026 Assembly polls, forming committees and preparing for alliance negotiations.
All India Congress Committee additional in-charge Anjali Nimbalkar and Chief of Puducherry Pradesh Congress Committee and MP V. Vaithilingam held a meeting with Congress functionaries as part of preparations for the 2026 Assembly polls in the Union Territory.
Mr. Vaithilingam said various committees have been constituted for taking up campaign work for the Assembly polls. “We are going ahead with preparations for the polls. The party high command will decide on seats to be shared with alliance partners. The PPCC will keep the Congress machinery ready for the elections, by the time the high command decided on the alliance,” he said.
The meeting was attended by Congress Legislature Party leader M. Vaithianathan and PPCC senior vice-president P. K. Devadoss.
