The paint on a young woman's car was badly damaged in Bhopal after colour mixed with acid was allegedly thrown at the vehicle while it was parked outside her house.
The incident took place on Sunday, March 8, on the occasion of Rang Panchami, which is customarily celebrated five days after Holi every year.
A case has been registered by the police on the basis of the 24-year-old woman's complaint. According to officials, the complainant works in the Human Resources (HR) department of a private company.
In her complaint, she has said that the incident took place while she was not home. When she returned in the evening, she found her car splashed with colours.
While she initially considered it a normal mischief, the woman was taken aback when her car's paint started peeling off as she tried to wash away the colours with water.
The car's badly corroded paint raised suspicion that acid was mixed with the colour that was thrown on the four-wheeler.
