More than five-minutes of footage from the film surfaced on social media platforms, recorded reportedly from a test screening

Superstar Vijay’s Jana Nayagan has got into a new trouble as clips from the film were reportedly leaked online and shared on social media platforms by some users.

As per reports, the leaked video is over five-minutes long and seems to have been recorded during a test screening of the film in a theatre. The clip shows Vijay’s introduction scene in the movie, along with its title card.

The clips were shared widely on social media platforms even as some posts were later taken down. There has been no official statement issued by the film’s makers. However, a fan account on X, Actor Vijay Team, said that a cyber crime complaint has been filed against those who shared the clips.

Producer and distributor G. Dhananjheyan wrote a note on X about the leak and said, “All those sharing the video on tweets using fake handles must be blocked immediately by cyber cell. Team #JanaNayagan @KvnProductions must complain and stop further spread of the footage.”

Directed by H. Vinoth, Jana Nayagan is the swansong of superstar Vijay, who is set to pursue his political career after the movie. It stars Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, Narain, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Mamitha Baiju in pivotal roles.
