This heartwarming rescue story of a feline from the bombed city of Borodyanka in Ukraine has won hearts.
It has been over two months since Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered an invasion of Ukraine. Since then, horrifying and disturbing news of people leaving their homes behind and taking refuge in neighbouring countries has surfaced on the Internet. But among the alarming visuals of bombed cities, volunteers at the State Emergency Services are doing their best to save innocent souls.
This heartwarming rescue story of a feline from the bombed city of Borodyanka is one such hopeful incident. Shared on Facebook by the State Emergency Services Ukraine, a video shows the rescue operation. In the clip, rescue workers can be seen standing on top of a crane and rescuing the feline from a broken-down portion of a high-rise building.
“We have a video of the happy rescue of Borodyankan cat by rescuers from the Kiev region. In a village where you can still smell death, a small miracle happened,” read the caption.

The clip was also shared on Twitter by Oleksandra Matviichuk. Two more videos were posted in the Twitter thread that showed the cat gobbling up a bowl of food.
