'Box Office is the only yardstick', Laal Singh Chaddha star Aamir Khan admits

Aamir Khan feels box office is the only yardstick to calculate how many people have seen the film. The superstar will be next seen in Laal Singh Chaddha.

Aamir Khan has been an integral part of the Hindi film industry for over 3 decades now. The perfectionist of Bollywood has delivered several successful films in his career. The superstar is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie, Laal Singh Chaddha. And only a few days before the film's release, Aamir sat down for a media interaction. During the conversation, the actor was asked if box office numbers matter to him.

Being at his candid best, Aamir Khan admitted that box office numbers do matter to him. The superstar added that box office is the only yardstick.

"Yes, of course, it matters to me. Because I feel that is the only yardstick we have to calculate whether your film has been seen by how many people, if your film has been loved by many people. In theatres, box office is the only yardstick. How else will we figure out? How else, as a creative person, will I know how many people have liked the film?," said Aamir.

Meanwhile, Aamir will be seen in Laal Singh Chaddha with Kareena Kapoor, Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya. Directed by Advait Chandan, Laal Singh Chaddha is the Hindi adaption of Tom Hanks' Hollywood film, Forrest Gump. It is scheduled for release on August 11, 2022.
