The show was on its 71st day when shooting came to a sudden halt due to the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. One of the most popular reality TV shows, Bigg Boss Kannada Season 8 began airing in February. But due to the lockdown restriction in Karnataka, the shoot was suspended mid-season. According to sources, the makers are planning to launch the 2.0 version of Season 8 this month when the government allows the production of TV shows and films. According to reports, all the contestants will be placed under quarantine before they are allowed to enter the Bigg Boss house for shooting. They will have to take RT-PCR tests as well. There is also speculation that Kichcha Sudeep will be back as the host of the reality TV show.
