Bachchhan Paandey box office collection Day 3: Akshay Kumar film faces stiff competition from The Kashmir Files

Akshay Kumar's Bachchhan Paandey is doing great business at the box office. The film is however facing great competition from The Kashmir Files.

Bachchhan Paandey has received positive reviews and fans are loving Akshay Kumar's new avatar. The film has opened to decent box office response. Also starring Jacqueline Fernandez and Kriti Sanon, Bachchhan Paandey is an action comedy film directed by Farhad Samji.

According to a report by Box Office India, Bachchhan Paandey's collection dipped since its release on Friday, March 18. While on the opening day the film earned a whopping Rs 13 crore, the numbers have dipped during the weekend. The collection saw a drop, mainly in Mumbai.

The film is facing stiff competition from The Kashmir Files, which has collected Rs 168 crores in two weeks.

Bachchhan Paandey is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and written by Nischay Kuttanda and director Farhad Samji. Besides Akshay, Jacqueline Fernandez and Kriti Sanon, the film also features Arshad Warsi, Pankaj Tripathi, Prateik Babbar, Abhimanyu Singh, Snehal Daabbi and Saharsh Kumar Shukla. Bachchhan Paandey was earlier set to premiere on December 25, 2020. However, the release date was pushed and Farhad Samji’s directorial will now release theatrically on March 18, 2022. The story revolves around an aspiring director (Kriti) who wants to make a film on a deadly gangster (Akshay).
