Asus is continuously teasing the key specs of Zenfone 8 ahead of the launch. A fresh tweet from the brand suggests that the Zenfone 8 will come with IP68 certification.
The Asus Zenfone 8 has been in the news for quite some time. Now that the launch of the Zenfone 8 is just around the corner, more insights are popping up about this smartphone. Also, the brand has been continuously teasing the key specs of this smartphone. We already know that the upcoming Zenfone 8 will feature a punch-hole camera and a smooth high refresh rate display. Besides this, it will be powered by Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 888 SoC. More recently, the brand also tweeted to confirm that the smartphone will come with IP68 dust and water resistance. Now it's tough to determine how Asus has managed to make the device water resistance especially because of the motorized flip camera system. It's possible that Asus may have swapped the flip-camera module with a regular one. There's no official confirmation around it hence, we will have to wait for more leaks to confirm the same. Previous leaks from XDA suggested that the upcoming series will bring three smartphones, unlike two as seen with previous iterations. These devices are supposed to be named Zenfone 8, Zenfone 8 Pro and Zenfone 8 Mini, while the first two are codenamed "PICASSO", the Mini version bears the codename "SAKE".
Samsung has been teasing its upcoming A-series devices since last week, without officially revealing their names.
