On the show, Rahman will be seen interacting and motivating the young contestants. He even played the piano as Shanmukha Priya performed. Indian Idol 12 contestant Shanmukha Priya sang two of AR Rahman's composition - Aye Udi Udi Udi from the film Saathiya and Muqabala Muqabala from the film Humse Hai Muqabala. Her performance was highly praised by everyone present on the sets.
