
Approval asked from MCI for adding 800 more MBBS seats in Tamil Nadu

The TN government has asked for the MCI's approval to add 800 more MBBS seats this year.
Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma Subramanian said that the TN government has sought Medical Council of India’s approval to add 800 more MBBS seats this year.
He said that the MCI had already granted permission to admit 850 more MBBS students in seven of the 11 new medical colleges in Tamil Nadu. The state is targeting for 1650 total MBBS seats in these new colleges.
