Apple may go ahead with the notch design on its next MacBook models.
Apple’s MacBook Pro got a refresh earlier this month, so now, naturally, it is the turn of other MacBook models. The lighter and cheaper MacBook Air is one of them, and a new leak claims to shed some light on what to expect from the successor. Apple is unlikely to launch the next MacBook Air this year, but it is possible in early 2022. That is far but we are now seeing some early renders of the next MacBook Air, and they suggest the notch is here to stay.
Jon Prosser, a renowned tipster for Apple-related leaks, posted photos of what looks like an early render of the MacBook Air. The biggest change, per the render, is going to come to the display, which will have thinner bezels and retain the notch. Apple introduced the notch on its laptops with the latest MacBook Pro and the MacBook Air would not fall far from it. Inside the notch, there will be a 1080p webcam, according to the tipster. That is good news for MacBook Air users who were fed up with the inferior-quality FaceTime camera. The display may use a mini-LED.
