Anupama Parameswaran is gearing up for the release of Karthikeya 2, which has her paired opposite Nikhil Siddharth. The Telugu film is slated to debut in theatres on August 12. Its promotions are in full swing. The actress, however, has not been participating in the same. Anupama has now addressed her absence from the film's promotional events. Karthikeya 2 is a supernatural thriller, written and directed by Chandoo Mondeti.
Anupama Parameswaran, who was last seen in the Telugu romantic comedy Ante Sundaraniki, is awaiting the release of the Nikhil Siddharth-led Karthikeya 2. She is, however, yet to join its promotions. The actress has now opened up about her decision to skip its promotional events.
Anupama wrote on Twitter that she would not be able to dedicate time to Karthikeya 2 because of her busy schedule. The star said she is shooting for two projects, something that has made it impossible for her to be associated with its promotional activities. She further highlighted that Karthikeya 2's release date has been postponed numerous times, resulting in this unfortunate situation. The Preman star went on to wish the team good luck for the film.
"Hey just wanted to give a clarity On why I am not able to join Karthikeya promotions I have been shooting continuously Day and night for two other films — which has combination dates of other artists which was planned since a long time but unfortunately there were so many changes in the release date of Karthikeya and things are a little tight this side hope u all understand the difficulty," she tweeted.

Karthikeya is a follow-up to the 2014 hit of the same name. It is directed by Chandoo Mondeti and will be his first theatrical release after the commercially unsuccessful Savyasachi (2018). The cast includes Anupam Kher, Srinivasa Reddy, and Adithya Menon, among others. Karthikeya 2 is produced by Abhishek Agarwal and TG Vishwa Prasad.
