Showering encomiums on Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said on Sunday that he was jealous of his “dedication to work.”
“I am impressed by Mr. Shah’s effective tackling of the law and order problems, Naxalites and terrorists. He is working like a machine. He is committed to saving every single life during contingencies. Whenever I meet, he shares innovative ideas and advises me to do the same,” Mr. Naidu said at the NDRF’s 20th Raising Day celebrations organised on its premises at Kondapavuluru in Krishna district.
“Under Mr. Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India is poised to emerge as a global power by the year 2047,” the Chief Minister said.
“Andhra Pradesh is in for a bright future under the NDA rule,” he said, while pointing out that the State was destroyed by the YSR Congress Party’s (YSRCP) misrule.
“We (the State) just came off the ventilator. But it still remains a patient. The Centre should continue to hand-hold us till we recover fully,” Mr. Naidu appealed.
The Chief Minister said he was thankful to the Central Government for providing ₹15,000 crore for the development of Amaravati. He further said that the construction of the diaphragm wall of the Polavaram irrigation project had begun on Saturday.
Mr. Naidu further said he was also happy that the Centre facilitated the establishment of the BPCL refinery and gave a ₹11,440 crore package for the revival of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP).
