Fight is between AIADMK and DMK, says Rajan Chellappa
Though it is widely debated that Tamil Nadu would face a four-cornered contest, the real fight is going to be between the AIADMK and the DMK, said senior AIADMK leader and MLA V.V. Rajan Chellappa here on Saturday.
Speaking to reporters, he said that the people had decided to vote for the AIADMK-led front headed by Edappadi K Palaniswami.
“There need not be any doubt on this,” he stressed. When the people (voters) are convinced about the non-performance of the DMK regime, any number of parties lined up behind it would not be a matter at all.
The DMK rule in the last five years had witnessed nothing but lawlessness. Corruption had touched a new high. Cities like Madurai had been pushed to the lowest rank reflecting the poor management by the civic body. The people are fed up as the Corporation of Madurai was surrounded by corruption and commission charges.
A change was certain and the AIADMK led front would sail through with a majority of seats and Mr Palaniswami would be back at the helm of affairs as the Chief Minister. The result would be known on May 4, he underlined.
The senior leader said that the AIADMK alone can restore the lost sheen in Tamil Nadu. With the support of the Centre, more and more projects for the State would be there in place.
