Election Observer Anubha Shrivatsava inspects polling booths in Western Ghats, ensuring smooth arrangements amid challenging conditions.
General Observer for Ambasamudram, Nanguneri and Radhapuram Assembly constituencies Anubha Shrivatsava visited the polling booths in the Western Ghats under the Ambasamudram segment on Saturday.
Since there would be no telecommunication signals in these booths as they are located inside the Western Ghats’ Kalakkad – Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve’s Papanasam Dam area, Ms. Anubha visited the booths to be set-up at Servalar Lower Camp and the Papanasam Upper Dam to review the alternative arrangements made for ensuring smooth polling there.
She also inquired the officials about the vehicles arranged for taking the polling materials and the EVMs to the booths to be set-up in these scenic areas of the Western Ghats and bringing the EVMs to the counting centre after the end of the polling.
She inquired the officials about the transport arrangements to be made for the polling personnel and for their accommodation, food etc.
Ms. Anubha, while returning back to Tirunelveli, inspected the check-post on Tirunelveli – Tenkasi district border and checked the records being maintained there.
Expenditure Observer for Tirunelveli and Ambasamudram constituencies Narendra Aseri had meeting with Sub-Collector, Cheranmahadevi and Returning Officer for Ambasamudram segment Ayush Gupta and other officials on Saturday. He also inspected the vehicle checking at Suththamalli and Pettai check-posts.
