A few weeks ago, Anand Mahindra had promised a man from Maharashtra a brand-new Bolero in exchange for his innovative four-wheelers. The 66-year-old industrialist has kept his promise.

Remember a few weeks ago Anand Mahindra had shared a short clip featuring a Maharashtra man who managed to build a four-wheeler using scrap metal? He had shared the video on Twitter and had also promised to give him a brand new Bolero in exchange for his creation. Well, the 66-year-old industrialist has kept his promise. He took to Twitter to share pictures of Dattatraya Lohar and his family receiving the new car. Dattatraya built the vehicle to fulfill his son’s wish and had invested Rs 60,000 to make it from scratch.

Anand Mahindra shared pictures of the family receiving the brand new car on Twitter. “Delighted that he accepted the offer to exchange his vehicle for a new Bolero. Yesterday his family received the Bolero & we proudly took charge of his creation. It will be part of our collection of cars of all types at our Research Valley & should inspire us to be resourceful (sic),” Anand Mahindra wrote sharing the pictures.

Last month, Anand Mahindra happened to watch a clip of Maharashtra man Dattatraya Lohar where he was seen explaining the mechanism of his vehicle to a man who was interviewing him. He was mighty impressed and shared the clip on Twitter.
