
AIADMK urges Centre to exempt Tamil Nadu from NEET 2021

AIADMK, the opposition in Tamil Nadu, has asked the central government to exempt the state from the NEET 2021 exam amid the pandemic situation.
Supporting the students urging the cancellation of NEET 2021, the AIADMK has urged the Centre to exempt the students of Tamil Nadu from the medical entrance examination this year, in view of the current Covid-19 pandemic situation. While asking for exemption from all common entrance exams like NEET 2021, the opposition party also insisted that admissions to various courses including medical in Tamil Nadu be allowed based on marks in the higher secondary examination for this year in view of Covid-19. The criteria for admissions to college courses should be based on the marks to be awarded by a committee to be set up for this purpose, AIADMK's coordinator O Panneerselvam said while supporting the students who have been seeking the cancellation of entrance exams.
