On Sunday, Bihar BJP MLA Rashmi Varma announced her resignation from the state Assembly over ‘personal reasons’. Last month, her brother was arrested in connection with the UPTET paper leak case. The BJP has asked her to withdraw her resignation.

On Sunday, Bihar BJP MLA Rashmi Varma announced her resignation from the state Assembly over ‘personal reasons’. She shared on social media a photograph of herself carrying a hand-written note addressed to the Speaker.

“I am voluntarily resigning from membership of Bihar Legislative Assembly due to personal reasons. Will be pleased if you accept my resignation letter,” her note said.
