Twitter notes that the SOS resources page will surface information from those offering or seeking immediate help. Users looking for access to hospital beds, oxygen, and food can visit this page which gets updated in real-time as people put out their emergency Tweets.
Earlier this week Twitter rolled out the advanced search feature for users that will help them customise their search for information specific to time, place and hashtags. As people turn to Twitter to seek help and post information, the micro-blogging site has now also rolled out more tools like SOS lists, prompts, fact pages and a live page to help users get access to resources they look for. “As COVID-19 vaccinations become more widely available, we want you to have access to the latest vaccine info in your country. This week you’ll see a prompt in your timeline that links to sources about vaccine safety, efficacy, and news from public health experts,” Twitter announced through its handle.
