Hero MotoSports Team Rally achieved a good result in the first stage of the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge with all three riders finishing within the top 10 positions. Franco Caimi led the team and finished the stage in 3rd position. He got into a good rhythm from the start and was within the top 3 throughout the stage. Joaquim Rodrigues rode a measured stage to complete in 7th position. Sebastian Buhler was able to overtake some riders ahead of him and, from there, he navigated perfectly to complete the stage in ninth place.
Wolfgang Fischer, Team Manager, Hero MotoSports Team Rally said, “We are in Abu Dhabi for the final round of the Cross-Country Rallies World Championship. The Desert Challenge is a classic desert race, run for the past 30 years, but it is our first time here as a team. The stages are mostly in the dunes and sand, and this is good training for the riders before the Dakar, which is also expected to have more dunes this year.”
