AAP tabled a resolution against BJP's Operation Lotus' at the party's national conference of elected representatives on Sunday.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh tabled a resolution against BJP's Operation Lotus' at AAP’s national conference of elected representatives on Sunday. Referring to the resolution, Singh termed the operation as the 'biggest attack ever on the scarcity of independent India'.
Sanjay Singh said, “BJP’s Operation Lotus is the biggest attack ever on the sanctity of independent India. It poses a greater threat than any foreign attack on the nation. In the same way that a foreign attack brings down a country's government, Operation Lotus places illegal governments on the heads of the people by toppling elected governments in different parts of the country. Operation Lotus is independent India's biggest scam."

"Thousands of crores of rupees have been looted from the people to run this operation. This money was used to purchase members of the Legislative Assembly of several states across the nation. Operation Lotus is the biggest cause of inflation in India. Funds are collected by imposing high taxes on the poor, which the BJP then uses to purchase MLAs. Those responsible for Operation Lotus are traitors to the nation. They should be charged with sedition and sentenced to life imprisonment," the resolution stated.
AAP's Durgesh Pathak, Punjab Minister Harpal Cheema, Aman Arora and Goa MLA Venzy Viegas, who seconded the motion. The motion was later passed unanimously by all the elected representatives.
In the second session of the conference, AAP Delhi state convenor and Cabinet Minister Gopal Rai tabled a resolution seeking support and commitment to the 'Make India No 1' initiative.
Reading out the resolution, he said, “The Aam Aadmi Party, in its first Rashtriya Janpratinidhi Sammelan, takes a pledge to make India the number one country in the world. Every Indian wants India to be counted among the richest countries in the world. Every Indian wants India to become the most powerful nation. Every Indian wants India to be the best nation in the world."
