The controversy erupted after brand manager Kaveri Baruah shared her account of meeting the actor on a Sweekriti Talks podcast, which quickly went viral.

In the podcast, Kaveri, who reportedly worked in Royal Enfield’s brand strategy team, claimed, “Before meeting him, we had a note which had 42 dos and don’ts don’t look into sir’s eyes, don’t shake your hands.” She also described a complex chain of management, saying, “They have manager ka manager ka manager. They are very strict.” The segment sparked widespread discussion online, with viewers questioning the alleged protocols.

Arjun’s representatives wasted no time responding. An official statement released on Tuesday read: “Certain recent comments made about Mr. Allu Arjun are completely baseless and untrue. He has always conducted himself with the utmost dignity and honour. We take these false allegations seriously. Our legal team is initiating defamation proceedings against those responsible. We request everyone to refrain from spreading unverified information.”

The team reiterated the message on social media, urging the public to stop sharing unverified content while stressing that legal action is underway to address the claims.

The podcast clip caught attention not just for the alleged “rules” but also for Kaveri’s reluctance to elaborate. When pressed for details, she reportedly said, “Mere ko kya pata? Aur nahi bataungi main (How would I know? (I won't say anything else),” leaving many curious -- and sceptical -- about the veracity of her story.

Even after Kaveri deleted her Instagram and LinkedIn profiles, social media conversations remain active, with fans debating the alleged instructions and their implications for celebrity etiquette. Despite the buzz, Arjun’s camp insists the claims have no merit and is determined to settle the matter through legal channels.
