4 arrested in connection with school bomb blast in Bengal's Titagarh

Four people were arrested in connection with a school bomb blast in West Bengal's Titagarh.

Four people were arrested on Saturday night in connection with the bomb blast at Titagarh Free India High School in West Bengal. This comes after a crude bomb explosion rocked the school building when classes were underway.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Mohammad Ariyan, Sheikh Bablu, Sadiq and Rehan. All four arrested will be produced in Barrackpore court on Sunday.

Police sources said one of the men is a former student of the school. A forensic investigation has been ordered into the matter.

Authorities are yet to ascertain why the arrested accused attacked the school premises. Sources said they were picked up on Saturday night but did not say anything during the interrogation.

No casualties were reported after the incident.

BJP MP Dilip Ghosh condemned the issue and said, “This is nothing new. This is the kind of politics going on here. Criminals are controlling politics. There is no work, many boys are roaming around. Bomb guns are being given to them.”
